It gives me immense pleasure to present the website of B.S.F Senior Secondary School, Shillong. Nested in the calm, serene and properly guarded campus of Border Security Force, the school offers a very conducive atmosphere for young and budding mind to learn and grow. 

The B.S.F School,  Shillong was founded on 24th August 1969, keeping in view the educational needs of bordermen deployed in the north eastern part of country. From an humble beginning the school has now acquired the status of a full fledged Senior Secondary School with Arts, Science and Commerce stream. Endowed with good learning environment and motivated teaching faculty the school has been providing quality education to the students of this far flung area for the last four decades and has etched a name for it.

 I believe that each child is blessed with divine potential and if identified and nurtured properly, the child can attain peerless height. To my understanding the success of education lies in the overall development of a child and not merely the academic excellence as has rightly been pointed out by the youth icon of our nation Swami Vivekananda “Education is The Manifestation of The Perfection Already in Men”.

The progress and future of a nation depends on the youth and how well nurtured they are. On the whole, the school education is a unique investment in the present to take care of the future. As Benjamin Franklin says – “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
